Teach novice, mostly adult, sewers to make a drawstring bag using a sewing machine at two-hour Sewing Circles on Saturdays, usually from 2-4 pm. Then help students with their own projects.

This a marvelous opportunity for someone who loves to share their skills with students who are very nice and incredibly grateful for your help. Sewing circle is usually twice a month, but each volunteer commits only to helping once a month unless they want to come more often.

When one teaches, two learn.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 15
  • 2 or more hours per month
  • Experience using a sewing machine and patterns.
