Become a hygeine program ambassador and help give showers to those in need

Be a friendly face for the individuals and families who are homeless participating in our Hygiene Program. Support our staff to ensure the best possible experience for our special guests.

Knowing that our region’s unsheltered population is at the most extreme risk for contracting coronavirus and suffering severe symptoms and consequences, our Mid Valley Family YMCA was honored to be selected by Mayor Eric Garcetti as a City of LA “shower site.” Opening our doors to those who are unsheltered will allow individuals and families a safe environment for personal hygiene and brief respite from the elements.

Volunteers ages 16 and 17 must provide parent/guardian approval (signature) prior to volunteering.
Volunteers ages 13-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while volunteering as well as provide parent/guardian approval (signature) prior to volunteering.
