Sign up for a scheduled shift or take an ongoing position for future days/times TBD. We need help with sorting, bagging, and serving food to children and families in need right here in our community. All safety and health measures are taken to ensure your well-being as we provide much-needed meals to our neighbors.

Volunteers are asked to bring and wear a personal face covering (mask, bandanna, other) that will cover the nose and mouth while at the event.

To ensure students have access to a healthy breakfast and lunch during school closures, the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles has opened multiple “Grab & Go” meal distribution sites throughout LA County. Through drive-through and walk-up sites, LA Y branches will distribute free pre-packaged shelf-stable meals two times per week, providing meals for multiple days, for all youth per household age 18 and under, on a first come, first served basis. Our Montebello-Commerce YMCA has received additional donations from local partners, including from our Gardena-Carson Family YMCA and Food Forward, allowing us to provide fresh produce and other nutrition and supplies to those in need.
