PATH LA is working in close collaboration with the city and funders to support our homeless neighbors during this crisis. One of our newest initiatives has been the opening of several new quarantine and isolation sites to shelter folks who are at-risk or have tested positive for COVID-19. We are serving over 400 individuals at these sites through shelter, wraparound case management services and social support throughout the length of their stay.

High school students can earn volunteer hours through this volunteer opportunity. Students can just keep track of the number of hours they spend assembling kits, let us know, and we can sign off on it.

You can help these individuals by providing any of the items listed below. For their own safety, these folks have limited in-person interactions. It is critical that we show them, as a community, that while they may be in isolation, they are not alone.

Needed items:

Hygiene Items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair brushes, sanitary napkins, adult diapers
Unused clothing, socks, backpacks, slippers
Isolation activities: books, markers, activity books, puzzles, board games (Jenga, Uno, cards, Scrabble, Dominos, Checkers, Chess, Connect 4), coloring books, crayons, puzzles, puzzle books, adult coloring books, pencils
Drinks, snacks
Notes/cards of encouragement
