Helping out at Prisoner's Literature Project

Last month, I volunteered at Prisoner’s Literature Project in Berkeley. The organization sends free books to prisoners all over the country. They receive hundreds of letters from prisoners who ask for a variety of books, including ones on language, history, and law.
I was tasked with reading the letters and packaging the books. It was an amazing experience that gave me insight into the lives of prisoners in America. I can’t wait to go back!
