Website AYSO Region 1631 - Downtown San Jose

AYSO Region 1631 is a non-profit sports league serving families in downtown San Jose, California. We provide high-quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment based on the AYSO’s Six Philosophies: Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, Player Development, Balanced Teams, Open Registration and Everybody Plays.

Our league is 100% volunteer-run! We are growing our wonderful team of volunteers. Come join us!

COACHES teach age-appropriate soccer skills and help kids develop a positive attitude, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Coaches run practices 1-2 times per week in the evenings and one game per weekend for a 10-week season in Spring and Fall. New coaches can be paired with mentors, and we provide all training, equipment and support. Not ready to head coach? Be an assistant coach!

REFEREES provide a safe, fun soccer experience for our weekend games. They keep games running smoothly and help players learn the rules of soccer. Referees choose their own weekend schedules and have no commitments on weekdays!

CLUB VOLUNTEERS help keep our league running smoothly. They help at special events, update our website, manage finances, paint lines on our fields, manage equipment, and so much more. Choose your own role! Hours are minimal and flexible.

No soccer experience? No problem! We provide all of the training, equipment, and support you need. High school and college students can complete school-required volunteer hours.
