Usher at the West Bay Opera

Nobody sings and the orchestra doesn’t play without the support from a fleet of volunteers. Won’t you join us and support world class opera in Palo Alto? We are recruiting volunteer ushers and other front of house volunteers for upcoming productions.

Opera is the most complex and multi-layered of the performing arts. Every time a character steps onstage, a small army is mobilized around the theater to ensure that magic is delivered to the live audience in real time and without glitches. From our front of house volunteers to production team and administrative support ,community involvement is one of the most important and long-standing traditions at our company.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 16
• Orientation or Training
• Ushers and front of house volunteers should be available for a minimum of 3 performances per season
• Outgoing and good with people; ability to stand and walk unassisted for extended periods, ability to bend and lift
