Update from 9/20/20:
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we have had to suspend our volunteer program. I don’t expect that we will be able to allow volunteers again until after the first of the year. We will post updates on our website when we are able to restart the volunteer program.
Shelter essentials volunteers provide just that – the essentials of our shelters! Your help with daily shelter tasks will facilitate the smooth operation of caring for our animals. Volunteers are critical to our success and we simply could not maintain optimal shelter standards without your support.
Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize supplies (laundry, litter boxes, bowls, toys, etc.)
Sort donations
Tidy up outdoor areas (play yards, walkways, etc.)
Tidy up indoor spaces (wipe down counters, sweep, mop, etc.)
Requirements
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Able to work independently
Training: Volunteer Orientation, Shelter Essentials class
Commitment: 1 shift per week
